Hui Lim
Hui currently performs as a tenured violinist with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and regularly appears on stage with the Alabama Symphony. Previously, she was the tenured Associate Principal 2nd Violin of Boise Philharmonic and a tenured violinist with the Reno Philharmonic and Reno Chamber Orchestra.
Her students have won 1st and 2nd place in regional competitions and gained entrance to youth orchestras. Hui has served as an adjudicator in competitions across Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Boise. She currently teaches at the Conservatory of Music at First Baptist Church in Trussville and has previously served as teaching assistant to Eliot Chapo, former Concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic.
Hui has a Master of Music in Violin Performance from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Eastman School of Music. She was the 2nd prize winner of 2003 National Piano and Violin Competition Violin (Open) Category in Singapore.
Outside of classical music, she can be heard as the violin soloist in documentary film Beyond Beauty: Taiwan from above, and Jay Chou's film The Treasure Hunter.
Tiantian Lan
Tiantian has an esteemed career in orchestral performance. He is currently the Principal Viola of Alabama Symphony, the Berkeley Symphony and Oakland Symphony. He previously was Principal Viola at the Phoenix Symphony. Other orchestras that he has performed with include the Boston Symphony, the Atlanta Symphony, the Florida Orchestra, and Santa Rosa Symphony.
An experienced educator, Tiantian has coached sectionals at the Alabama Youth Symphony and the Phoenix Youth Symphony. He has also students who won prizes at regional competitions and gained entrances at youth orchestras.
Tiantian is a graduate of San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.
